A 96-year-old man crushed the Turkey Trot in Highland’s Ranch yesterday

Sure, you did a good thing yesterday by running a 5K before you stuffed yourself full of stuffing, but did you do it at the age of 96?

Sure, you did a good thing yesterday by running a 5K before you stuffed yourself full of stuffing, but did you do it at the age of 96?

The answer is almost definitely “no,” unless you’re Robert McAdam.

If you are Mr. McAdam: Hi! Congratulations! I am very, very impressed.

If you are not Mr. McAdam, well, you just sit right down.

He participated in a Highlands Ranch Turkey Trot yesterday, completing the 3.1-mile run in 48 minutes and 39 seconds, 9News reports.

The official world record for a 5K in the 95+ age group is 50 minutes and 10 seconds. Guinness wasn’t there to verify it, but I presume that in lieu of that recognition, McAdam feasted like the god he might very well be.

According to 9News, McAdam wants to improve on his time by 3 minutes next year, because even a person who is #goals has goals.
