Broncos fans will get the chance to come out and celebrate the NFL’s return alongside team officials, current and former players, and Mayor Michael Hancock on Wednesday.

The Broncos, in a joint effort with the city, are holding a special event to celebrate the defending Super Bowl champions’ season kicking off at Civic Center Park. There will be games, food and opportunities to get players’ autographs. The free festivities start at 3 p.m. and carry over into Thursday.

Hancock, Broncos executive Mac Freeman and former Pro Bowl receiver Ed McCaffrey will be in attendance when the event starts Wednesday afternoon.

It all leads up to Denver’s NFL season opener against the Carolina Panthers. The Broncos defeated the Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50. Seven months later, the teams meet again.
