“How do you make a monument to bad luck?”

The nonprofit 7/20 Memorial Foundation has $200,000 to create a monument to honor those lost in the Aurora theater shooting, but they want it to “not advance themes that are controversial.” Ray Mark Rinaldi calls on the group take their time and “recognize randomness.” (DP)

DIA takes precautions after Ft. Lauderdale airport shooting

Speaking of seemingly random violence, officials at Denver International Airport have a “heightened sense of awareness” following the shooting in Florida that took five lives.
