The restaurant describes itself with a few boldface words, including “artisanal spaghetti monsters,” “affordable wines,” “good vibes” and “counter service.”

Chefs Alex Figura and Spencer White previously worked together at Lower 48, where Figura hired White to be sous chef. They announced the opening date in a Facebook post.

The restaurant is located at 3264 Larimer St., right near Five Points’ border with Cole. Hours will be 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 4 to 9 p.m. all other days. No reservations are accepted.

Lunch service is coming on Dec. 5. Dio Mio is Italian for “My God.”
