Donald Trump Jr. joked about the Aurora theater shooting

CNN’s KFile has audio of an appearance Donald Trump Jr. made on the “Opie and Anthony Show” in 2012. In it, they discuss the motives of the Aurora theater shooter and play audio from one of the witnesses, which prompts a joke from Trump Jr.

“Everything was going good until, uh, we saw gas and sparks, and sounded like really strong fireworks, uh, and then you just hear people yelling and actually just a few, uh, rows away from me a girl gets up holding her jaw. I guess she had got shot,” the witness said.

“Overall I give the movie two thumbs up,” Trump Jr. said in response.

Later he added that he has a “sick sense of humor” and that there’s lots of material on the cutting-room floor of The Apprentice that would appeal to people like him.

Trump Jr. was in Boulder on Monday, speaking to a mostly out-of-town crowd. Trump Sr. is in Colorado Springs and Grand Junction on Tuesday.
