There weren’t really any surprises for Colorado in the 35th annual Forbes 400 ranking of the richest Americans released Tuesday — the same billionaires who made the list last year are still rolling in cash.

The head of Englewood-based DISH Network, Charles Ergen, was ranked as the richest Coloradan with a net worth of $16 billion.

Ergen is one of two Denver residents ranked and comes in as the 28th richest person in the country. He held the same spot last year.

The other Denver billionaire is Philip Anschutz who has a net worth of $10.9 billion and ranked the 39th richest American — up four spots from 2015.

Anshutz owns the Colorado Springs Gazette and a third of Los Angeles Lakers basketball team. He has a hand in a variety of industries from oil, railroads, telecom, real estate and entertainment.

John Malone is another billionaire with investments across the board including Englewood-based Liberty Media. The media mogul’s $7.2 billion net worth puts him at the No. 61 spot on the list — up seven places from last year.

James Leprino is the only Coloradan to move down the list in 2016. His net worth decreased by about $100 million, according to Forbes. But don’t worry he still has a lot of cheese — literally.

Leprino owns Denver-based Leprino Foods, the largest mozzarella cheese maker in the world. He’s ranked at No. 232 — down 21 spots — with a net worth of $2.9 billion.

Pat Stryker is the only Colorado woman to land on Forbes’ list. The Fort Collins heiress, philanthropist and major political donor is ranked the 264th richest American — up 29 spots from last year.

Stryker is listed as the 34th richest woman in the country with a net worth of $2.6 billion.
