Have you been blocked by former Colorado football coach Dan Hawkins on Twitter? If you’re a Buffaloes fan, there’s a distinct possibility.
Boulder Daily Camera reporter Mitchell Byars noticed Thursday that Hawkins, who was fired from his post at Colorado in November 2010, blocked him on the social media platform.
Byars is the newspaper’s police and courts reporter. He says he didn’t even have a Twitter account when Hawkins was with Colorado.
Byars is not alone.
I’ll let you check out the results for “Dan Hawkins blocked” on Twitter for yourself. They’re pretty spectacular.
Hawkins went 19–39 in five seasons as the head coach at Colorado. He is perhaps best known for his “this ain’t intramurals, brotha” rant in his tenure at the school.
Hawkins was recently hired to become the head coach at the University of California Davis. He goes by @CoachHawk on Twitter. This was his most recent tweet, which I’ll presumably only be able to see for a short period of time because I expect him to block the hell out of me for writing this post.
