Frontier Airlines pilots say Denver delays stem from ‘executive mismanagement’

At least four Frontier Airlines flights have been cancelled Monday, adding to passengers’ frustrations over baggage confusion

Frontier pilots with the Airline Pilots Association say the problems stem from “executive mismanagement and misplaced focus on cost-cutting.”

“Leaving passengers and even their own cockpit and cabin crews stranded for hours without information is outrageous––even more so when this quarter was one of the airline’s most profitable ever financially,” said a statement from the group.

Frontier spokesperson Richard Oliver told the Denver Post that crews weren’t in place to handle flight cancellations because the weekend’s winter storm was worse than expected, and therefore movement was impeded.

Oliver also told the Post that the airline would not be providing compensation or lodging to passengers displaced because of the weather-related delays.
