Police say that Ramos drew a gun and began firing on officers before he was shot. The officers were investigating a murder in Aurora that had happened the night before. (We have more detail in our story posted yesterday.) Police say that Ramos fired first; an Aurora officer was shot in the face but is expected to survive

Ramos was 23. He had just put a baby inside his car before the gunfire began, according to police.
