Official word from the museum is that the century-old building ought to get rolling around 8 A.M. The move is expected to take about 8 hours and will cover just short of a mile.

The studio currently sits at Pearl Street and East 13th Avenue. Its new home will be across the street from the Clyfford Still Museum, on the northwest corner of West 12th Avenue and Bannock St. It will make the journey on six sets of remote-controlled wheels.

Workers have been excavating beneath the studio for months in preparation.
