Things to do in Denver today, Dec. 13: Good food for a good cause, cupcakes just for fun and more

Have a nice meal and give something to people in need this evening during the Spirit of Giving dinner at Zengo, 1610 Little Raven St.

From 4 to 11 p.m., 20 percent of all sales will be donated to Food Bank of the Rockies. The restaurant will also be collecting oatmeal, pasta helpers, canned stews, mac ‘n’ cheese, cereal, canned goods and peanut butter.

Learn from the experts during University of Beer tonight at the Walnut Room, 3131 Walnut St.

There will be four 8-ounce samples to pair with food. Left Hand Brewing Co. will provide the beer, the know-how and some merch.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the tasting starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.


From 6 to 8 p.m. at My Make Studio, 6460 E. Yale Ave., Unit E60, learn how to decorate winter-themed cupcakes.

No previous experience is required and kids are welcome. It costs $55, which gets you six cupcakes, one beer, wine or soda and two hours of instruction.


Red Fang is at the Bluebird Theater, 3317 E. Colfax Ave. tonight.

The show starts at 8 p.m. with Torche and a band that for is for some reason called Whores. Tickets are $25.
