Raconteur Denver is back for its second season, and tonight, they’ll be talking about being arrested, as in to seize by legal authority and take into custody or to stop or check progress.

Hear stories from L. Glenise Pike, David Rynhart and Brenton Weyi, and be ready to tell your own story, if you’ve got one.

It’s happening from 7-9 p.m. in the Ubi Sub Ubi Room under the Thin Man Tavern, 2015 E. 17th Ave. Space is limited, so get there early.

It’s the last week to see  “Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea” at the Denver Z00, 2300 Steele St.

The exhibit features 15 large sculptures of ocean life made from garbage collected off beaches. It aims to create awareness of the pollution in our oceans.

You can check it out for free until Jan. 16, but the best weather for it will be today. It’s free with museum admission. Today’s hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Drop by Stem Ciders, 2811 Walnut St., from 6 to 9 p.m. today for a little indulgence.
