Back for another year, “The Santaland Diaries” is on now through Christmas at The Jones.

The one-man show is based on David Sedaris’ essay about working as an elf at Macy’s in New York City. I saw it last year, and I promise it’s funny.

The Jones is part of the Denver Performing Arts Complex, with an entrance at Speer Boulevard and Arapahoe Street. Tickets start at $25 and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Blossoms of Light just got started at the Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St. Head over anytime from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. to check it out.

The light displays features a field of sound-reactive, animated LED lights, and guests get HoloSpex glasses and a souvenir mug. Treats and warm drinks will be served.

For members, admission is $11 for adults and $8 for kids. For non-members, admission is $2 more. Children 2 and younger get in free.

Head over to Chain Reaction Brewing Co., 902 S. Lipan St., for Harry Potter trivia from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Teams can have up to six people. There will be food, prizes and (duh) beer. Questions will be based on the books and movies. Here are the categories:

Book 1: We’ll Take the Lot
Book 2: Audio – Ah, music, a magic beyond all we do here
Book 3: Accio, wand!
Book 4: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Book 5: Red Hair, and a Hand Me Down Robe
Book 6: Audio – Well you don’t expect him to hang around all day do you?
Book 7: He’s my Past, Present and Future

Vinyl Records Night at Ratio Beerworks, 2920 Larimer St., this month will be hosted by Virgil Dickerson, founder of Greater Than Collective and marketing manager for Illegal Pete’s.

In addition to spinning, he’ll be selling records, t-shirts, pint glasses and other merch from his old label, Suburban Home.

Bring your own vinyl to be played from 7 to 10 p.m.
