The Denver-based developer Focus Property Group is bringing on an Atlanta-based firm to operate the 12-story, 233-room hotel slated to open near Coors Field and Union Station.

Davidson Hotels & Resorts announced Tuesday it’s adding the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station to its portfolio. The hotel is expected to open in 2018 at the corner of 20th Street and Chestnut Place, Davidson said in a release.

Earlier this month, Focus Property Group said it plans to incorporate the dilapidated Denver Hose Co. No. 1 building into the hotel. The historic downtown Denver fire station will hold a one-of-a-kind, iconic restaurant concept, according to Davidson.

“The hotel will also feature over 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a heated indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and two levels of underground parking,” the company said.

Altogether, redevelopment at the corner is expected to cost about $80, according to The Denver Post.
