The Colorado Avalanche’s new uniforms are here. On Tuesday night, the NHL and its new partner Adidas released sweater redesigns at an event in Las Vegas.

The Avalanche called it a “modern take on the iconic jersey.”

The silver accents separate the burgundy and the blue neatly. The classic “A” with the puck, a great logo, is still there. And the blue on bottom forms what resembles a mountain peak.

On the shoulders are a “C” modeled after the Colorado state flag.

“The color scheme is based on the local panorama, including the lush earthy tone of the red rocks to the west, the deep blue sky visible most days out of the year and the myriad of snow-capped peaks that line the horizon,” the Avalanche wrote on their website.

These look great. The Avalanche, who pick fourth in the NHL Draft later this week, got something right in 2017. PROGRESS!
