Denver among housing markets with biggest share of out-of-town interest

Confirming at least some of your worst fears, Zillow determined that Denver has the tenth-most out-of-town views per house listing. 

Blame the thirsty real estate lovers of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Zillow found that 11.9 percent of their page views were for homes in Denver. Or shake your fist in the direction of Grand Junction — 11.5 percent of their page views were for Denver homes.

In fact, contrary to what you might imagine, most of the out-of-Denver home views are from neighboring cities:

As for your neighbors/fiercest home purchasing rivals, Zillow’s data suggests that most of them want to stick in Denver:

That puts Denver in the “residents want to stay, outsiders want in” bucket of metros. You may know this better as the “residents want to break out the pitchfork and torches.”
