Musical lovers who are young, scrappy and hungry to see “Hamilton” will get their chance to grab tickets for the Denver performances Jan. 22.

Tickets for “Hamilton” at the Buell Theatre go on sale to the public 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, the Denver Center for Performing Arts announced Friday. The organization is warning people they risk overpaying or being scammed if they buy from ticket brokers or other sellers.

Tickets for performances running Feb. 27 through April 1 can be purchased at There is a limit of four tickets per account.

Tickets range from $75 to $165 with a select number of $545 premium seats available for all performances. There will be a lottery for 40 $10 orchestra seats for all performances. Details will be announced later.

“It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can,” Producer Jeffrey Seller said in a statement. “There are many websites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Denver engagement should be made through”

Tickets will also be available by phone at 303-893-4100 or in-person at the DCPA Box Office in the lobby of the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex.

For those who just came out from under their rocks, “Hamilton” is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.
