The days around the Fourth of July tend to be some of the most popular of the year for marriages in Denver.

This year, 79 couples got marriage licenses from the county building on Independence Eve, which apparently is a strong indication that the city will break another record for matrimony.

In response to rising demand, the Denver Clerk and Recorder’s Office will allow couples to pre-schedule appointments online starting on Tuesday, July 11. So, if the only thing holding you back from marriage was the inconvenience of waiting in line at the county building….

Overall, marriage totals are running 12 percent ahead of last year.
