Tuesday’s Major League Lacrosse game between the Denver Outlaws and Atlanta Blaze featured the rare goalie goal.

With time winding down in the third quarter, Outlaws goalkeeper Jack Kelly intercepted a pass and launched a prayer to the opposite end of the field. Kelly’s heave caught Blaze goalie Adam Ghitelman off guard and got by him — a rare instance of goalie-on-goalie crime.

Ghitelman appeared to be going for a drink of water during the sequence. Once he saw the ball get by him, he threw his water bottle down in disgust.

It was a rough day for Kelly all around. He gave up 18 goals as the Outlaws beat the Blaze 24-12.
