We don’t normally do this, but one of Denver’s recent visitors really inspired us.
For the first and maybe last time ever, we present the Denver Tourist of the Week: Enver Siddiky of Virginia Beach.
As you keen observers have already noted, Mr. Siddiky’s first name is Denver, minus a letter. This gave him a unique perspective on our city and allowed him to show outsiders a side of Denver and Colorado tourism that isn’t all mountains, weed and big blue animal statues.
Instead of the focusing on the cliches, Enver — with the help of unlicensed tour guides from Reddit who picked him up and drove him around — highlighted our city’s signage. Or more specifically, our signs photographed in such a way that the D in Denver is obscured.
The Enver Post
All the Enver news that’s fit to print.
Enver Botanic Gardens
“All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the Envers of today.” — adapted from an inspirational poster I just found by googling inspirational flower quotes.
Enver Museum of Nature & Science
Here’s a great song by Denver band Gauntlet Hair called “Human Nature,” which maybe you’d like to sing as “Enver nature.”
This just seems insulting.
“It’s a pretty good zoo”
Said young Enver McGrew
“And the fellow who runs it seems proud of it, too.”
We hope you had a nice time in Denver, Enver. Come back anytime.
