Pack something warm and waterproof. Today’s high is just 49 degrees in Denver, with a chance of rain after noon and snow showers increasingly likely as the day goes on, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow accumulation is expected to be less than a half-inch today, but we could pick up four inches tonight and two more inches on Saturday, NWS forecasts. The high on Saturday is only 37 degrees, and we’ll be under a winter weather advisory starting Friday night.

Sunday returns to 52 degrees.
