Denver weather forecast for today, Jan. 3: Fine. Fine and cold.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night is featured in any kind of official postal service motto.

I just learned that the whole “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night” thing isn’t and never was any kind of official USPS motto. I also learned that the National Postal Museum’s FAQ starts a response to a question with the word “Actually,” which is just a little superior, don’t you think?

Anyway, we’re not looking to have rain nor heat today, but there’s a slight chance of snow before 10 a.m., and we’re definitely getting gloom of night. The high is 28 today and it’ll come with a side of clouds, according to the National Weather Service.

The low tonight should stay in double digits — barely, NWS forecasts. Tomorrow we might see snow again starting before 11 a.m. and potentially continuing through Friday morning, NWS forecasts.
