Let’s count today as our lazy day for the weekend.

There’s a 60 percent chance that water will fall from the sky today, according to the National Weather Service. Before noon, that means a chance of showers. For the rest of the day, that means a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 60.

The chance of storms will be at about 40 percent over night, when the low will be around 42.

Not a great start to the holiday weekend, but things should improve on Sunday and Monday.
