I hope you’ve been outside today, because oh my is it nice out there.

So nice, in fact, that Marczyk Fine Foods in North Capitol Hill fired up the grill outside.

We already broke one temperature record today. According to the National Weather Service, the temperature reached 74 degrees by 10:24 a.m., breaking the 1951 record of 71 degrees for Feb. 10.

It’s possible that we’ll tie or break a monthly temperature record, too. The highest high ever recorded here in February is 77 degrees. At 12:15 p.m., the National Weather Service said we’d reached 76 degrees. If we do break the February record, it’ll be before 3 p.m.

Update: It’s official. Meteorologist Noah Brauer tweeted at 1:24 p.m. that the temperature at Denver International Airport reached 79 degrees.

The all-time high for February of 77 degrees was set in 1890 and tied in 2006.
