Denver is getting another food hall — this one inside the former Tony’s Market in Capitol Hill.

Mark Shaker, the man behind Stanley Marketplace, is heading up the project at 950 Broadway. When the space reopens as Broadway Market, it’ll include a pizza place, a coffee shop, a bar, one or two retail-focused businesses and up to seven other food concepts.

Shaker is working with Brad Arguello, who co-founded (but has since left) Avanti F&B, and Tim White and Chris Haugen of White Construction Group, who helped build The Source, Zeppelin Station and Stanley Marketplace. Broadway Market is the first project from the development team, now known as Eclectic Collective.

“We’ve all worked on food hall-type projects,” Arguello said in a press release, “but more than anything else, we’ve worked on projects that are focused on building community.”

“That’s what makes places like Avanti, Stanley and The Source stand out from the crowd,” Haugen said in the statement. “We plan on bringing that community focus to Broadway Market, too.”

Tony’s Market closed at 950 Broadway near the end of 2017 and, incidentally, will move to a south Denver food hall called Happy Canyon Wine & Market.
