More warm and dry weather and strong winds are raising the wildfire danger across much of eastern Colorado.

A red flag warning has been issued for much of the eastern half of the state on Tuesday.

A 150-acre fire near Hygiene in Boulder County that destroyed three outbuildings and a barn on Monday has been contained but firefighters are keeping an eye on it because of possible flare ups because of the wind.

The county has also had several fires that were started by flare ups in agricultural burns conducted up to two months ago. Sheriff Joe Pelle is asking people who have conducted burns recently to monitor those areas and to also avoid any activity that could cause a spark, such as shooting, welding or field mowing.
