Back in February, Kimbal Musk announced plans to open 50 new locations of The Kitchen Next Door in the “American heartland” by 2020.

On April 25, he and co-founder Hugo Matheson will be one restaurant closer to that goal when a Next Door eatery opens in Stapleton’s new Eastbridge Town Center.

The new space is 3,000 square feet and can seat 110 people inside and 72 outside on the patio.

Another opening is expected this spring in Memphis.

There are already Next Door locations in Boulder (1039 Pearl St.), Denver (inside Union Station) and Glendale (658 S. Colorado Blvd.).

When he made the initial announcement in a piece published to Medium, Musk said the expansion is “true to my goal of making our real food restaurants more accessible.”

The new Stapleton location opens at 11 a.m. April 25 at 10155 E. 29th Drive, Suite 160. It will be open daily at 11 a.m. and happy hour will be from 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close.
