Last weekend, there were even more bikes around Denver than normal. The first annual Colorado Classic bike race started in Colorado Springs on Aug. 10 and made its way down to Denver and the Velorama Festival by Saturday and Sunday.

The men’s bike race had four stages. Per veloramacolorado.com, 25-year-old Manuel Senni was the overall winner of the race. The women’s bike race had two stages, neither of which was in Denver, and Canadian Sara Poidevin was that race’s first-ever winner.

Here are some of the scenes Denverites saw around town:

Then there was Velorama. The festival took place in the RiNo Art District and included The New Pornographers, Wilco and Tennis among its musical acts. Not only did the festival have concerts, it had a large flea market, craft beer, food trucks and heavy rain.

The first night saw some complaining — in person and in social media — about long beer and concession lines and the fact that train noise disrupted the concerts. But plenty of people still had a good time.

It's a beautiful night with @thenewpornographers rocking the main stage in front of a huge crowd!
