Something about late July always induces panic in me — have I done anything I wanted to this summer? Invariably, this sets off a frenzied planning spree to cram in all the fun I haven’t yet had.

Now I wonder if somehow this dread has been captured via my browsing history and telegraphed to a series of airlines, because lately, they’ve all been announcing new nonstop destinations. Here is a roundup of 23 new direct flights announced in the last month or so.

International destinations
  • London

United announced Wednesday they’ll be flying non-stop to London daily for about seven months beginning in March of next year. This plan is still pending government approval.

  • Zurich

Swiss airline Edelweiss announced that they will fly twice a week from Denver starting in June 2018. Like the London flight, it’s a seasonal flight that will last around six months.

Domestic destinations

This next batch of destinations come via Frontier Airlines. As a carrier that has recently embraced the low-cost model, caveat emptor. Also if you’re a prominent local newscaster with criticism of that model, your experience with the company might not be favorable either.

In total, there’s 21 new destinations though. Six of them are already available to book:

  • Albuquerque
  • Oklahoma City
  • Ontario, California
  • Palm Springs, California
  • Reno, Nevada
  • San Jose, California

The other 15 destinations will be available by spring next year:

  • Boise, Idaho
  • Buffalo
  • Calgary, Alberta
  • Charleston
  • El Paso, Texas
  • Fargo, North Dakota
  • Fresno, California
  • Grand Rapids
  • Jackson Hole
  • Jacksonville, Florida
  • Little Rock
  • Louisville
  • Pensacola, Florida
  • Spokane
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma

Bon voyage!
