If your long weekend didn’t completely wipe you out and you’ve got the energy to do anything above and beyond the basic requirements of your daily life today, more power to you.

Tonight marks the start of a weekly series called Mixed Taste at the Seawell Ballroom, 1350 Arapahoe St. At each “tag team lecture,” two speakers will take 20 minutes each on seemingly unrelated subjects. When they’re done, an audience Q&A will help connect the topics.

Up first: Wild West mail delivery and post-conceptual art with Nataki Garrett, associate artistic director of the Denver Center Theatre Company, and Adam Lerner, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.

It starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $20.

When you hit 3 o’clock and just can’t take it anymore and all you want to do is look at pretty things, shuffle on over to the Museum of Contemporary Art, 1485 Delgany St., where you can take a free behind-the-scenes tour at led by curatorial associate Zoe Larkins.

The tour starts at 4 p.m. and is free with museum admission, which is $8 for adults, $5 for college students, seniors and military, and free for members and anyone 18 and younger.

The Battle Royale is on again at Ratio Beerworks, 2920 Larimer St.

Twelve comedians will face off in a bracket-style tournament, and the audience decides who advances in each round. It’s free at starts at 8 p.m.
