All right, theater fans, I know you’ve probably been waiting impatiently for this one. “An American in Paris” is finally on stage at the Buell Theatre, 1350 Curtis St.
The touring production of this Tony Award-winning musical about an American soldier and a mysterious French girl in this city you may have heard of is running through March 19. Tonight’s show is at 7 p.m. and tickets are $30-105.
Over at Test Kitchen, it’s all about the ladies. I can’t think of a much better way to celebrate International Women’s Day tonight than by showing up at the Black Box, 314 E. 13th Ave., to support Denver’s women MCs.
The lineup features Dirty Habitz, Kitty Crimes, Koo Qua, Jay Triiiple, Queenz of Hip-hop, Mirror Fears, SIXXXD, Landy V, Church Fire, Lethal, Weppin, Paisha Love and Kokola & The Rare Bird Collective.
As always, it’s free and doors are at 9 p.m.
And Girl Scout Cask Month continues at Copper Kettle Brewing Co., 1338 S. Valentia St., #100.
They’ll be tapping into the S’mores Porter, a dark ale with graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallow inspired by Girl Scouts’ s’mores cookies.
Drop by anytime from 2 to 9 p.m. to try it out. And if you want to support some young ladies on this great day, I suggest you pick some up to go with your beer. (No shame. I ate several thin mints before noon today.)
