Yeah, it’s still unusually chilly out there. The good news is Frankie Rose is in from Brooklyn to bring us the warmth of her Los Angeles-born sixth LP, “Cage Tropical.”

She’ll be joined at Globe Hall, 4483 Logan St., by Philly’s Suburban Living and Denver’s own Oko Tygra.

Doors are at 7 p.m., the show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $14.

Over at Comrade Brewing Co., 7667 E. Iliff Ave., they’re screening the Sundance-winning documentary “Chasing Coral,” in which a team of divers, photographers and scientists set out to learn what’s killing coral reefs.

It’s free and open to the public, and it starts at 6:30 p.m.

The unofficial Great American Beer Festival events are officially underway. Here are a few of tonight’s options:

  • To The Wind Bistro, 3333 E. Colfax Ave., is hosting a beer dinner featuring West Coast IPAs. The $59, five-course menu features seared scallop, octopus la plancha, fried pickle, rockfish/baja bass and a beignet, all with beer to match.
  • The Corner Office, 1401 Curtis St., is also hosting a beer dinner. This one highlights brews from Strange Craft Brewing Co., pairing them with citrus and scallop salad, baked cheese with apples and ciabatta, charred chile octopus, braised osso bucco and stone fruit turnover. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and costs $60.
  • And Goed Zuur, 2801 Welton St., is letting California takeover its taps from 5 p.m. until close. They’ll be pouring sour brews from Beachwood BBQ Blendery, Almanac Beer Co., Port Brewing Co / The Lost Abbey, The Rare Barrel, Russian River Brewing Co., Pure Project Brewing, Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Modern Times Beer, High Water Brewing and Lagunitas Brewing Co.
