Two new poke restaurants are opening on Platte Street, less than two blocks apart

If poke wasn’t a real Denver trend before, it sure is now.

If poke wasn’t a real Denver trend before, it sure is now.

This summer, Platte Street will get two new poke restaurants: Denver Poke Company will move in between 15th and 17th streets, and Poke House will open up in a new building at 15th Street, Eater reports.

Both restaurants are just a short trot away from Ohana Island Kitchen (2563 15th St.), which just opened last fall.

This either means that you won’t have to wait long for poke, or that we’re about to enter The Great Denver Poke Wars.

Of less note: Denver Poke Company will be right by Denver Beer Company. This doesn’t mean anything — I just think it’s weird.

Anyway, if the soon-to-be Poke Capital of Denver is convenient for you, or if you don’t know what poke is, please consult our handy guide: What is poke? Where is poke?
