Just in time for the end of summer, Colorado got its first location of Ohio-born Whit’s Frozen Custard.

The shop opened its doors last week in the heart of Tennyson Street in Berkley, right next door to Hops & Pie.

The family-owned custard chain first opened in Ohio in 2003 and has since expanded to Florida, North Carolina and, now, Colorado.

And BusinessDen reports that more Whit’s locations might not be too far off. Don Kissack, owner and operator of the new Tennyson shop, bought the franchise rights for a 65-mile radius.

In addition to the standard vanilla and chocolate custards, Whit’s will have specialty flavors like “Buckeye Madness” (Reese’s cups, chocolate syrup and peanut butter) and “Cool Coffee” (mocha and Irish cream), plus banana splits, shakes, malts and root beer floats. You can browse the full menu here.

Whit’s Frozen Custard, 3926 Tennyson St., is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
